Part of the popular Llama llama series, Llama llama red pyjama follows the evening routine of baby llama. When his mum gets distracted down stairs he begins to panic and worry they he won't get his cuddle and kiss goodnight. Written by Anna Dewdney this books rhyme and repetition make for a great bedtime story. I am sure many parents and children will be able to relate to the bed time demands and tantrums.

This rhyming story is beautifully illustrated by Hanako Wakiyama, little girls will fall in love with the retro drawings and the beautiful layout of the book. Featuring characters from other fairytales / nursery rhymes and an annoying little brother this book would be great to read aloud or by children learning to read.  With a relatable storyline (everyone has an annoying sibling, and no one likes being sick!) this book is bound to please even adults.

The illustration by Alice M Brock is simple yet vivid and goes well with the humours book.

Charlie Cook's favorite book

Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Sheffler this book is about a book about a book. Charlie's favourite book is about a pirate, who's favourite book is about goldilocks, and goldilocks who is reading baby bears favourite book about a night slaying dragons and so the story continues.
The rhyme and familiar fairy tale characters along with the beautiful illustration will capture the attention and imagination of young readers. Great for reading to your child or as a first book for kids learning to read.

The snail and the whale
